The Lifeblood of a Nation

The economy has been in the news lately and for good reason. It's failing! Many have been caught in the gyrations of the stock market, the bond market, as well as the many financial instruments that seemingly represent the lifeblood of our economy, and we are in catastrophic failure. If one were to take the pulse of the world as created by the humans at this particular juncture, we would find an erratic heartbeat at best and at worst, a heart about to leap out of the chest of the patient!

Humans create reality, individually and collectively, and we are seeing the culmination of collective reality creating suggesting that humanity still has a great deal to learn. And while it would be thought that arriving to work in $3,000 suits, driving sophisticated automobiles and carrying the latest in laptops (opposable thumbs and all) would suggest we are capable of fiscal responsibility, humanity is still learning about the difference between focus driven by greed, manipulation, hoarding, stealing, taking advantage, etc., and the higher qualities of intention driven by a calm sharing of resources that give rise to a stewardship of not only our resources, but each other.

Alan Greenspan, an iconic American economist and past chairman of the Federal Reserve, has come into the news in this "snapshot of time" as well. And, while I cannot say that I am (or not) a fan of Alan Greenspan, apparently he is truly shocked by the turn of events in these latter months of 2008.

He has stated that he is completely dumbfounded by the risky policies of the large corporations and investment banks that seem to be unable to manage themselves, i.e., grabbing what they can to the point of self-inflicted catastrophic failure of their most fundamental obligations. He is gravely surprised to see basic common sense and the ability to survive and flourish, i.e., exist, seemingly "fly out the window" of many of these large institutions.

Greenspan believed in deregulation and a free market economy – and probably rightfully so, because he believed that self-preservation would underlie fiscal responsibility. Instead, we have witnessed lemmings, large and small, crowd over the cliffs with no regard for anything but the almighty buck. In other words, in greed and bottom line profits, corporations, large and small, representing hundreds of billions and even trillions of dollars display no more sense than a rock – not to disparage the mineral kingdom.

It is interesting to note that there are two major divisions of characters at play on planet earth – something I identify in my book, Visionaries Thrive In All Times and occasionally refer to. These two main characters are the humans and the artificial entities. The humans are characterized as flesh and blood entities, young, naïve and impres-sionable for which they fail to learn from each other, other than at the most fundamental of levels. They typically teach what they are afraid of, for which resistance and fear and doubt seem to be their primary motivation. They also seem to be unable to stock the larder of subsequent generations, i.e., forward the wisdom behind accumulated wealth and hard-won insight, much less family-driven philanthropic contributions to those less fortunate even though they have access to the most sophisticated, built-in guidance system imaginable.

On the other hand, corporations, trusts foundations, etc., legally designated as artificial entities and creations of fiction on paper infused with statutory life by government, "live" lives of as much as several hundred years, learn continuously, maintain a certain discipline and record keeping, and effectively forward their values into the future. Corporations, i.e., artificial entities, have learned to rely upon formulas that seemingly work well into the future. Further, they tirelessly lobby government, their maker, for increased "rights" and advantage in a system skewed toward the rights and values of artificial entities because government itself is an artificial entity/ corporation.

Artificial and human entities are each driven by their bottom lines. In the case of the former, the bottom line is called gross profit for which they use every conceivable advantage to gain an ever increasing profit base for expansion for which the government sanctions, endorses and sides with their efforts in every imaginable way. Human beings also have a bottom line but their bottom line is driven by family, emotion, friendship and feelings that include love, joy, peace, satisfaction, caring for one another, and children. The bottom lines of humans and artificial entities are far different and humans have inadvertently let the values of artificial entities become predominant.

Who drives the values that we can't escape for even one moment of our day? Corporations hideously blast marketing campaigns running in the millions and billions of dollars to the point that even our cash register receipts from our daily purchases are emblazoned with marketing sugges-tions for parting with our cash that we haven't thought of yet! Corporations with their bottom-line profits and values have become so pervasive that we can plainly see the redistribution of wealth – to the corporations!

Which US political party endorses and supports the values of corporations over the values of humans? The idea of a few mothers that the military should hold a bake sale to buy a bomber is a far cry from the sophistication of corporations displaying their voracity at marketing to the humans – and sucking them dry!

That the humans have inadvertently allowed the artificial entities to become the leaders is our greatest error as a species thus far. Corporations, in the name of profits, have wreaked havoc over the entire face of the planet even to the point of using war to establish future markets. America, as a leader, has inadvertently allowed its deranged (and soulless) artificial entities to infect the rest of the planet with its greed and avarice. There is no doubt the American people have lost control of the artificial entities and public servants created for a distinct and limited function/service, voraciously attacking and undermining the values of human beings driven only by bottom line profits. Corporation's bottom lines are eclipsing the bottom lines of humans.

How did the humans allow the artificial entities to run amuck? How have the humans in the creation of the government, another artificial entity, allow this dysfunction to occur? The answer is illustrated by Alan Greenspan who, no doubt a very astute businessman, is incredulous in his disbelief that the largest banks, i.e., largest artificial entities, are without the ability to regulate themselves, and in the face of deregulation and a free market economy, ramped up profits until they simply toppled over! Sure surprised Greenspan! But there is something basic illustrated here.

The difference between human beings and artificial entities is that humans have a nervous system and guidance system built right in and artificial entities do not. Human beings have access to a messaging system that tells them right from wrong – a system that is capable of guiding them at the most fundamental as well as most subtle levels of life, if but they would listen! And while we cannot exist without this connection, we are still very naïve to its use. This means humans have access to insight from the Cosmos to drive our lives and values and bottom lines, and corporations do not.

Every living thing has a nervous system. It may not look like our own, but even the mineral kingdom has an intact connection with Innate Intelligence – and thus a nervous system of sorts. A rose is a perfect example of an organism with a connection to Source that exists for no other reason than to express beauty and harmony to the best of its ability. Clearly a rose contains a nervous system and in its perfect non-resistance, expresses itself perfectly. This means that Innate Intelligence (the vast order of life) expresses itself through the nervous system of the rose. It turns out that the rose is no more and no less than a vehicle for which Innate Intelligence expresses itself into the world!

This means that the more sophisticated the nervous system, the more capable life is of expressing itself through that particular vehicle. Said another way: what is real is Innate Intelligence expressing itself, and in the sophistication of the particular nervous system, Innate Intelligence expresses itself even more fully! Artificial entities, sans nervous system, have no connection to Innate Intelligence and thus no Innate Guidance and no capacity for expression. Hence they are missing the fundamentals of self-preservation, common sense and knowing the difference between right and wrong!

Humans, on the other hand, have the most sophisticated nervous system of any living organism on the planet, and in the sophistication of our nervous systems, similar to a Steinway piano that has been dropped a time or two, we are out of tune with our Maker. Humanity is on the brink of something big! The economic crisis is a great metaphor for which Alan Greenspan is the ideal candidate to inadvertently fill us in on the subtleties. As an expert on artificial entities, apparently no one was more surprised than he to discover that they are incapable of regulating themselves! To be fair to young corporations, they are capable of mirroring the values of their masters and with a few tricks along the way, can serve far into the future as well-behaved artificial entities. And, while it has always been believed that the lifeblood of the planet and the economy is money coursing through the institutions of the world i.e., the lifeblood of the artificial entities, we will soon see a truer sense of what works as humans begin to rethink and retake responsibility for instilling their values onto the world stage. It is in intentional reality creation co-powered by humans and Innate Intelligence in partnership, that the humans will come into their own. And it is in the incredible sophistication of the human nervous system in alignment with Innate Intelligence that we discover the richness of our possibilities.

When we discover that the most valuable (and renewable) resource on the planet are the humans themselves; that we are the most sophisticated throughput device for Innate Intelligence to express itself - the blue and white ball, the third rock from the Sun, will begin to take on a new resonance felt far and wide, and the humans will get the ride of their lives.

Did you see the humans Tuesday night, November 04^th, 2008? They were stunning! They were magnificent! They were absolutely shining! They were so filled with hope and courage and love and light and feelings of elation - and on a global scale! There were so many tears of joy and relief and recognition of unknown possibilities! Not so different from the triumph of a single tender, green blade of grass working its way up through a brand new crack in a sidewalk on a hot summer's day! Life expressing itself with a big grin on its face!

A new path, not only for Americans and democrats and republicans but the entire world! Something monumental happened in America on November 04, 2008 and everybody was tuned in! I wonder how far it was felt as it rippled across the planet, through the solar system and out into our galaxy, i.e., the excitement and hopes of a species uplifting itself! I wonder if it is still rippling out among the stars and far-away galaxies and I wonder how fast it moves. I wonder who is watching?

We have seen the world come together in sorrow and in pain in the untimely deaths of Princess Diana, John Lennon and John Kennedy, and most recently 9/11, but this time we are seeing a spiraling unison of joy and possibility, the likes of which has never graced the face of this planet! So many humans, connected like never before, feeling the powerful elation of hope; of change for the better, of possibilities – except for those who would have things stay the same. And while hope is not part of the tool belt of the intentional reality creator, hope is a huge improvement over fear – because hope is open-ended in its possibilities! In the unfolding of the spirit of the humans, in the release of age-old suppression buried deep within our DNA – we are blossoming like never before!

Fear leads men (male/female, singular/plural) to do strange and reactionary things. And, while fear can lead, it leads to nowhere useful in the 21^st century. Hope is far different. Hope is graspable by huge numbers of people, no matter the consciousness level and represents a much better foundation for our possibilities! Open-ended hope can inspire humans to new levels of accomplishment and allow them to soar like never before. Soon, we will be without training wheels and our old selves will be but a distant spec in our past.

Barack Obama won an election, not by manipulating the levers or greasing the palms of Washington, but by encouraging and identifying a mechanism of belief in ourselves for which "we" then emerged! As a community organizer, he ran a monumental campaign that raised untold hundreds of millions of dollars with an average donation of $80! It is my belief that the mechanism he put into place will continue; that what is in place will continue to expand and that motivating humans to become more will be the name of the game for quite some time.

Humanity is in the throws of the discovery of itself. It is rising out of the ashes of its ineptitude, fragility and fear-based reactionary posturing and beginning to find its voice. Out of the contrast of naiveté and innocence, for which the humans have been grossly taken advantage of by the few, we are beginning to learn from our errors. Out of the contrast comes clarity on a global level, and a whole new world is being born. Something startling happened on Tuesday night - a rippling that will continue to change the face of the planet for quite some time. I doubt we will forget our lesson and I bet we never turn back.

Innate Intelligence: our Always Available Partner

The human body is astounding! The human body contains everything we need to become our potential. It contains the mechanism by which we discover and implement our best possibilities because it carries our messaging system and insight from Innate Intelligence.

Our body has a nervous system. Some of the functions are understood by science and medicine and some of the functions are better understood by the alternative sciences, i.e., meditation, kinesiology, radionics (pen-dulums, etc.) to name just a few. It is in our awareness of the above, that we get a glimpse of how all of this works.

Kinesiology and radionics gain their answers by accessing Universal Mind (Innate Intelligence) through the nervous system which acts like an antenna for our connection with the Cosmos for which everything is known. With 36 years of meditation, I have discovered meditation as "learning how to listen with our nervous system." Listen to what? The awesome harmony and symmetry that is Universal Mind, Source, Innate Intelligence - whatever you may wish to call it!

It is in the refinement of the human nervous system that we gain and collect knowledge, inventions, insights and creativity. Not only can we sense our inner and outer realms through our nervous systems, Innate Intelligence communicates with us as well. This communication is ever present, ever capable and an ever insightful alternative to the linear mind drawing its conclusions.

Imagine you are exchanging and sharing information with someone and as you listen with "your senses," feelings begin to be felt. Subtle at first, they become more pronounced as you absorb the incoming information. These subtle feelings can be of appreciation, joy and fulfillment, or concern and alarm for which you begin to turn away or continue to refine your attention. Through your senses, you can very quickly identify the importance and value of anything by how you feel. If you cannot, the feelings will grow until it becomes unmistakable. The idea is to catch the insight early and to do this you need a quiet nervous system, interestingly one of the purposes of meditation!

As we begin to discover two types of conversations, one exchanged as words and ideas and the other as feelings and insight communicated by Innate Intelligence, we discover we have a guidance system that helps us understand the importance of what we are exposed to. As we learn to listen to this inner guidance, we can align with what is truer in our lives. By aligning with what is truer, we make better choices and decisions. Ever have a gut feeling or get an "ah ha" such that you know something is true? This is the same thing though very pronounced by this point of recognition.

We can make decisions with the linear mind, much of which are rote, reactionary, memorized patterns, or we can learn to listen to the subtleties of Innate Intelligence. It's a choice! How do you tell the difference between right and wrong? How do you know the difference between reactionary posturing and the subtleness of knowing something is true? Only you (and Innate Intelligence) will know for sure.

Recently a new friend asked me about the meaning of Namasté for which these remarks are the result. The long title of this article is: "Multiply Namasté by Infinity, taken to the depths of forever for which you will still have barely a glimpse of what I'm talking about" liberally borrows a quotation from the (1998) film Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Namasté is a Sanskrit (Hindu and earlier) term and greeting or acknowledgment. Namasté means "the divinity in me salutes the divinity in you, or "The God-part of me acknowledges the God-part of you." All Sanskrit words are variations of the principles of God in action as seen by the eyes of Sanskrit. Namasté is an ideal example of this. For those who are a bit dubious about Sanskrit lyrics they can barely pronounce in a Kirtan concert at the local yoga center, you are actually in very good hands and relationship with the Cosmos!

Acknowledging what is true in another is also the most effective means by which we become most useful to ourselves! In seeing our surroundings in truth, i.e., seeing what is true in another, Law of Attraction becomes exponentially more useful to us! This is the polar opposite of helping the proverbial old lady cross the street whether she wants to cross the street or not, because the powerful element of judgment, often the catalyst behind "helping others," is absent.

In the realization and acknowledgement of the truth of another; that incubating "still small voice," we become involved in the most powerful experience we can share! Further, in refining our interpretation of the truth, we powerfully refine our visioning of reality! After all, the truth is right in front of us.

"Helping others" is rarely in sync with the larger order – though it serves an important function in a very dysfunctional world. Typically though, "helping others" is what we do – and we learn how to do it the best we can. But as we move from the unruly mind to the disciplined mind, i.e., as we harness focus and goal setting, there comes another level to which we can ascribe that is exponential in its usefulness, allowing Innate Intelligence to become an active contributor to our participation in the world.

As we move from the linear mind of focus to the many and varied octaves of intention, we spiral upward through judgment, fear and doubt, anger, resentment, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, (spiritual) reason, love, joy, peace and eventually nonresistance and Unconditional love, honing our connection with Innate Intelligence all the while.

As we achieve nonresistance, we become fully in step with what I call "Innate Guidance" for which we become able to access our true selves and our true natures. We then participate in life in sync with "what is true" at a much different level for which contribution feels much more like jigsaw puzzle parts fitting together with a satisfying snap! We move far beyond what we are able to conjure on our own and expressions like "we should," "that could," "what if," "if I," or "I" simply fade away.

As we climb the ladder of intention, we arrive at nonresistance. And in nonresistance, life takes on a whole new meaning of synchronicity and magical happenstance. Happenstance and serendipity become our roadmap and full-time order of the day. Everything blends as one truth! In nonresistance, in Unconditional Love, we share what is true; we become as one and we become far more useful to each other. Namasté becomes our every step into a far more real world!

It is my assumption that the Pope, without knowing this to be true, acknowledges the true essence of the individual when he blesses a huge audience - or should be. Why? Because acknowledging what is true is the only true function we can lend to the world. And, practicing on each other is a very good place to start. To understand the truth of life is a very powerful experience.

The work of VisionariesLab, et cetera (reference) is about the discovery of technology to rapidly take one to nonresistance and Unconditional Love for which full blown Guidance becomes available and acknowledgement of what is true becomes second nature. Once we are able to put reactionary thinking and resistance aside, another world awaits.

I travel to Brazil this month to finalize a program that will allow individuals to more quickly move through the inner discovery of themselves. We are not as far away as we think. In nonresistance, in putting the mind and judgment aside, Innate Guidance becomes instantly available for which recalling the distortion of the old becomes too much effort.

Besides, we all have plenty to do. Barack Obama has gone out on a limb and he is going to need our help. What if, right about now, we could hold an exponentially contributive perspective to the unfolding of the planet? What if acknowledging what is true had an exponentially contributive effect and we could become "contributively useful?" What if we could discover the power of our gaze and the power of our contribution?

	We are moving beyond the limitations of citizenry of nations and becoming citizens of the world - citizens of our shared true commonalities. To become citizens of the world, we are going to have to beat our fears and doubts and resistance (swords) into new tools of transformation (ploughshares) and open-endedness and truth.
